Abstract

The risk evaluation of Hepatitis can be regarded as a decision-making problem since it requires the analysis of some factors to identify the probability of the development or the progression of the disease in the patient. This process involves the use of medical information including the patient’s medical history, family history, and the results of the tests among other factors alongside clinical knowledge and the available treatments. These factors are rather intricate and coupled with the uncertainty of the disease and treatment efficacy, the evaluation becomes a multi-criteria decision-making problem.

In this article, we develop a decision-making technique for risk evaluation of Hepatitis and solve other problems, where the criteria or attribute contain bipolarity and 2nd dimension. For this methodology, we first devise a sine trigonometric bipolar complex fuzzy set along with sine trigonometric operational laws. Afterward, we devise sine trigonometric bipolar complex fuzzy weighted averaging and geometric operators to aggregate the information.

To reveal the practical use of the devised approach, we discuss a numerical example related to hepatitis. Moreover, in this article, for displaying the dominance and benefits of the characterized approach we do the comparison of the inaugurated approach with certain prevailing ones.
